My 2015 Thanksgiving Vacation

First of all, let me get something clear. This is not not not not not not not not not  a Thanksgiving Vacation. I did it on Saturday and Sunday. So technically, you could do it on any other weekend. My other choice of titles could've been "My Vacation to Joshua Tree National Park," but I was there for about 3 and 1/2 hours. We spent 2 hours at a MALL outlet that sells luxury products! We spent 4 hours on the drive, 4 hours at a hot spring, 4 hours awake at a hotel, therefore we spent a whopping 1/4 of the time on vacation at Joshua Tree National Park. And that's not even counting how long we were asleep, not to mention the fact that we weren't paying much attention to the park but rather other forms of ... entertainment.

But enough on the title, now we can talk about what I actually did on this 2 day 1 night vacation. My mom had been planning for 2 days before we left so I could say that she was excited and didn't want to wait until the last minute. So, you can see that this vacation was already off to a bad start. On Friday I was confused, thinking we were supposed to go on Friday. So, I got a late start on packing. I caught up and did preparations.  The next day I woke up at 7:00 a.m.  I was not used to it because lately I had been sleeping to 10:00 in order to catch up on sleep lost from school. We managed to leave at 8:30. We drove 2 hours from our house and we landed in our destination, a town called Desert Hot Springs (Whoa, what tourist attraction would be here?). We ate lunch. Went to a hot springs. Then we went to eat dinner. Then we watched T.V. . We then went to a boring concert that started 20 minutes off schedule. Then we slept. I complained the whole time about the restaurant we went to. Boring day, but actually pretty fun, it was better than my other days during break. The next day we went to Joshua Tree it was actually not that exciting but I got to climb rocks. Then, we went to a MALL OUTLET boring, not a single bookstore. I was bored. All I could do was eat and shop, NIGHTMARE. But I found a map of the town I lived in, all the was upstate, WHOA! I was happy. The most significant reason that I like this vacation was not where we went but the map that I found. Anyway, I heard a theory that people only remember the vacations that areN'T perfect but the ones that had rough edges. I suppose that is true.
